Actor Upendra has said that he is very happy that his forthcoming film ‘Kabzaa’ being produced and directed by R Chandru is being compared with blockbuster ‘KGF’ starring Yash.
The teaser of ‘Kabzaa’ was released by Tollywood actor Rana Daggubati in a special event held in Bangalore on Saturday. The teaser was released as a birthday gift to Upendra who celebrated his birthday on Sunday.
The teaser apart got good response from the audience. However, the viewers started drawing comparisons with ‘KGF’ because of the grandeur, making and style. Upendra and R Chandru has said that they are proud that the film is being compared to ‘KGF‘.
Upendra who spoke regarding this on his birthday, ‘I am happy that the film is being compared to ‘KGF’. Everybody had thought that such a film can’t be made. However, we have attempted another film in Kannada and it is a proud moment for us. However, both the films are different and can’t be compared. The grandeur and making might look same, but both films are different’ says Upendra.
R Chandru said that it is not easy to make a film of ‘KGF’ caliber. ‘’KGF’ is a huge film and it is quite difficult to make such a film. The making might look same, but our film is different. Though it is an underworld film, it has a lot of emotions. Good content and extraordinary action sequences are the USP of the film’ said R Chandru.
‘Kabzaa’ is a PAN-Indian film made originally in Kannada and dubbed in six other languages. The film stars Upendra, Sudeep, Shriya Saran, Kabir Duhan Singh, Nawab Shah, Pramod Shetty and others in prominent roles. Ravi Basrur is the music director.
