National Award winning Kannada film ‘Dollu’ is all set to release on the 25th of August. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has watched the film in a special screening and has appreciated the film.
A special screening was arranged for Siddaramaiah on Tuesday evening at the Orion Mall in Bangalore. Siddaramaiah along with MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan attended the screening and appreciated the film.
‘Art has no boundaries. Religion, caste, sex and creed do not come here. The film has depicted the Dollu folklore very beautifully. Sagar Puranik has put in a great effort in portraying the art form’ said Siddaramaiah.
‘Dollu’ is the first production from Pavan Wadeyar and Apeksha Purohit’s Wadeyar Movies. The film bagged two awards at the 68th National Awards including Best Feature Film and Best Audiography awards. The film has been screened at various prestigious international film festivals. The film marks the debut of Sagar Puranik as a director. The film stars Karthik Mahesh, Nidhi Hegde, Chandra Mayur, Babu Hiraniah and others. Ananth Kamath has composed the music for the film, while Abhilash Kalathi is the cinematographer.
