Devarakonda remembers Puneeth during the promotion of ‘Liger’

Sandalwood actor Puneeth Rajkumar shared a very good bonding with Tollywood actor Vijay Devarakonda when he was alive. When Puneeth died of heart attack, Vijay Deverakonda broke down during a film event in Hyderabad. Now the actor has once again remembered Puneeth during an event in Bangalore.

‘Liger’ star Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Pande were recently in Bangalore to promote their latest PAN Indian film which is all set to release globally on the 25th of August.

Before attending the press conference and the pre-release event held to promote the film, Vijay Devarakonda along with Ananya Pande visited the memorial of Puneeth Rajkumar in Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore and paid floral tributes to him.

Vijay Deverakonda remembered Puneeth Rajkumar during the press conference of the film. ‘Whenever I came to Bangalore, I met Puneeth and talked about films. He used to see my films and call me. We had a very cordial relationship’ remembered Vijay Devarakonda in his speech.

The actor says that ‘Liger’ is a very big film in his career. ‘This is a very big film in my career. This is a mass film. The film is being released in Kannada also. I wanted to dub my voice for the Kannada version. However, I could not do it due to various reasons. I want to dub my voice for my films in the future’ said Devarakonda.

‘Liger’ marks the first collaboration of Vijay Devarakonda and Puri Jagannath. The film will feature Vijay Devarakonda as a mixed martial arts fighter. International acclaimed boxer Mike Tyson is also a part of this much anticipated film.

‘Liger’ stars Vijay Devarakonda, Ananya Pandey, Ramya Krishna, Makrand Deshpande and others in prominent roles. The film is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Charmee Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar and Puri Jagannath. The film is shot in Telugu and Hindi and is being dubbed and released in Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.

The distribution rights of the film for Karnataka have been acquired by ‘Pogaru’ producer B K Gangadhar.
