Prakash Rai donates an ambulance in memory of Puneeth Rajkumar

Actor Prakash Rai recently donated free ambulance called ‘Appu Express’ at free cost in memory of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar through his Prakash Raj Foundation.

Prakash Rai (who is known as Prakash Raj in other states) and director Santhosh Anandaram were present during the occasion and Santhosh Anandaram handed over the keys of the Ambulance to the hospital authorities.

Prakash Raj shared photos through his social media account and said it is a joy giving back to life. Appu Express is derived from the name of Puneeth Rajkumar, who is fondly called as Appu by his family, friends and fans.

‘Appu Express’ is the first initiative of Prakash Raj Foundation in Mysore and the service will be extended to other districts of Karnataka in the coming days.

Puneeth Rajkumar and Prakash Rai have acted in many films together including ‘Ajay’ and ‘Yuvaratna’. Prakash Raj had even acted in Puneeth’s production ‘Maya Bazaar 2016’ and the duo had a cordial relationship with each other.

Meanwhile, Basavaraja Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka has recently announced that Puneeth will be conferred with the prestigious Karnataka Ratna award on the 01st of November this year.

Puneeth Rajkumar died of cardiac arrest on the 29th of October last year at the age of 46.
