Prithvi Amber is back with yet another film called ‘Dooradarshana’. The period film which is set in 1980s is completed and gearing up for release. Meanwhile, the first poster of the film is out.
‘Dooradarshana’ is written and directed by debutante Sukesh Shetty and produced by Rajesh Bhatt under V S Media Enterprises production house.
Sukesh says ‘Dooradarshana’ is a film which has been based on some real incidents. ‘The story is set in a period when television was new in India in the 1980s. The film tells about what all happens when a television set was brought to a remote village. How do the lives of the people in the village change after the arrival of the film is the crux of the film’ says Sukesh.
Prithvi says he got connected immediately after hearing the story. ‘I also come from a remote village. I was born in 1988 and have seen the pre-technology as well as the technology era. We used to watch TV in our neighbours house before a Colour TV was brought to our house in the 1990s. When Sukesh narrated the story, I immediately got connected to it and I am happy to be a part of this film’ says Prithvi.
‘Dooradarshana’ stars Prithvi Amber, Aayana, Harini, ‘Ugram’ Manju’, Harini, Sundar and others in prominent roles. Arun Suresh is the cinematographer, while Vasuki Vaibhav is in charge of the music.
Currently, the team is busy with the post-production and the film is all set to be released soon.
