10 Kannada films which were released on the 20th of May have turned out to be disaster at the box-office. Meanwhile, eight more films are all set to hit the screens on the 27th of May across Karnataka.
The month of May has seen almost 20 films getting released in three weeks. But none of the films have managed to get the money back at the office. Last week 10 new films released and most of them vanished from theaters by Monday. ‘Kaaneyadavara Bagge Prakatane’ and Preethsu’ were also supposed to release last week, but the two were pushed to this Friday in the last minute.
This Friday, ‘Physics Teacher’, ‘Anjan’, ‘Dheeran’, ‘Kirik Shankar’, ‘Wheelchair Romeo’, ‘Chellagurki Sri Errithaathayyana Mahime’, ‘Kaaneyadavara Bagge Prakatane’ and Preethsu’ will be getting released on the 27th of May across Karnataka.
Of the eight, except for ‘Kirik Shankar’ and ‘Kaaneyadavara Bagge Prakatane’ the rest stars and is made by newcomers. ‘Kirik Shankar’ stars Yogi in lead role, while ‘Kaaneyadavara Bagge Prakatane’ has senior actors like Ravishankar, Tabla Naani and Rangayana Raghu in lead roles.
Which among the eight will prove a money spinner for the producer is yet to be seen in the coming days?
