Legendrary singer and music composers Dr S P Balasubramaniam, C Ashwath and L Vaidyanathan might be no more. But the trio is all set o be back with a new film called ‘Maavu Bevu’.
‘Maavu Bevu’ is a light music album which was released many years ago. The album consisted 10 songs which were written by Dr Doddarangegowda. While, C Ashwath composed the songs, L Vaidyanath arranged the music. Dr S P Balasubramaniam had sung all the songs. Many of the songs from the album including ‘Yaariguntu Yaarigilla’ and ‘Maraye Bedavo Manuja’ were super hits. The album was released by Sangeetha Live Cassettes. Now senior actor-director Suchendra Prasad is all set to make a film based on the songs.
Earlier, veteran director T S Nagabharana had directed ‘Mysore Mallige’ based on the poems by K S Narasimha Swamy fondly known as ‘Mallige Kavi’ by the Kannadigas. The film ‘Mysore Mallige’ was a fictitious story based on the poems. Now, Suchendra Prasad is making a similar attempt with ‘Maavu Bevu’.
The actor-director has based his story on the songs. The fictitious story will have all the 10 songs from the album and this will be the last film of Dr S P Balasubramaniam, C Ashwath and L Vaidyanathan.
‘Maavu Bevu’ is being produced by Rajashekhar. The film was launched recently and the shooting for the film will start soon.
