Puneeth Rajkumar’s last film in a full-fledged role ‘James’ got a massive opening on Thursday. The film which was released on his birthday (March 17th) across Karnataka has broken all previous records.
‘James’ was released in more than 500 screens and 4000 shows across Karnataka. This is the first of its kind in Karnataka as none of the previous films got released in so many theaters and to that many shows.
Shows started from early morning 5.00 AM in many theaters and many theaters screened changed their schedule and screens 7 to 8 shows per day. The advance bookings were open from one week before and tickets have been booked till Monday.
The fans of the actor paid a befitting tribute to the ‘Power Star’ by thronging the theaters in large numbers. Many fans cried when Puneeth Rajkumar appeared on the screen and the fans got emotional during the closing of the film.
‘James’ stars Puneeth Rajkumar, Priya Anand, Sharath Kumar, Avinash and others in prominent roles. Shivarajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar are seen in guest roles in the film. The film is written and directed by Chethan Kumar, while Kishore Pathikonda is the producer.
‘James’ is a PAN Indian film and will be released in 5 different languages.
