Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Prithviraj’ has finally got a release date. The film which was postponed once is all set to release in theaters on the 03rd of June across the globe.
The teaser and the first look poster of ‘Prithviraj’ were released last year. The film was said to release in IMAX format also on the 21st of January 2022. However, due to the third wave of Corona, the film was postponed indefinitely.
Now Akshay Kumar has announced the release date of the film through his twitter handle and has said that the film will be simultaneously releasing in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
‘Prithviraj’ is based on ‘Prithviraj Raso’ a Braj Bhasha epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan. The film stars Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan and Manushi Chhillar as his wife Sanyogita. The film marks the debut of Manushi Chhillar to Bollywood. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashuthosh Rana, Manav Vij and others in prominent roles.
The film is scripted and directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi of ‘Chanakya’ fame. ‘Prithviraj’s is being produced by Aditya Chopra under YRF, while Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed the music for the film.
