Due to a decline in the Covid 19 cases, the Karnataka Government has permitted theaters to screen for 100 percent occupancy from Saturday (Feb 05th). With this permission, as many as seven new films are getting for ready to release from next Friday (11th Feb).
The Karnataka Government had decided to restrict the screening in theaters for 50 percent occupancy with effect from the 06th to 19th of January as there was a steep rise in the Covid 19 cases. However, the third wave of Corona was not harmful compared to the last two waves and everything came to normalcy in just a month. The Government first withdrew the week end curfew followed by the night curfew.
Now with Corona third wave completely under control, the Karnataka Government led by Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai has decided to give permission to 100 percent audience in theaters with immediate effect.
The Kannada film industry has sighed relief after the Karnataka Government’s permission and as many as seven films are ready to hit the screen on coming Friday. ‘Rowdy Baby’, ‘Love Mocktail 2’, ‘Oppanda’, ‘Maha Roudram’, ‘Four Walls’, ‘Preethigibbaru’ and ‘Ide Antharanga Shuddi’ are the films getting released on the 11th of February.
With seven releases, how many films manage to woo the audience is yet to be seen in the coming days.
