Well known rapper and music director Chandan Shetty has turned hero with a new called ‘Elra Kaleliyathe Kaala’. The shooting for this film is all set to start in February.
‘Elra Kaleliyathe Kaala’ is a retro film being directed by actor Sujay Shastry who had earlier directed ‘Gubbi Mele Brahmastra’ starring Raj B Shetty. The film was an average at the box-office and now Sujay is back with yet another film.
Chandan and Sujay were co-contestants in a reality show called ‘Raja Rani’ which was aired in Colors Kannada. During the shooting, Sujay had narrated a story to Chandan for which the latter approved. Now that the reality show is over, Chandan is all set to act in a film to be directed by Sujay Shastry.
‘Elra Kaleliyathe Kaala’ is a film set in the 1980s. Chandan Shetty plays a graduate in this film. The first look photo of Chandan has been released and it is hard to recognize the actor as he is gone for a major look change.
Rajguru Hoskote, son of veteran singer and composer Gururaj Hoskote has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. Praveen and Pradeep are in charge of music, while Vishwajith Rao is the cinematographer. The film is being produced by Usha Govindaraju.
The cast and crew are yet to be finalised.
