Kollywood actor Vikram’s much awaited film ‘Mahaan’ directed by Karthik Subbaraj is all set to release on the 10th of February. This time, the film will have a direct OTT release instead of a theatrical release and will have a worldwide premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

It’s been nearly three years since a film of Vikram has been released. The last film which was released was ‘Kadaram Kondan’ produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International. After that, Vikram has completed ‘Cobra’, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and ‘Maahan’. Of the three, ‘Maahan’ has taken the digital route and will be releasing first.

One of the highlights of the film is Vikram will be sharing space with his son Dhruv Vikram for the very first time. Dhruv made his debut as a hero through ‘Aditya Varma’ which was a remake of Telugu hit ‘Arjun Reddy’. ‘Mahaan’ is his second film as a hero.

‘Mahaan’ is said to be the story of a man whose family leaves him when he strays from the path of ideological living in his search for personal freedom. However, as he realizes his ambitions, he misses the presence of his son in his life. Having fulfilled his dream of becoming a billionaire, does life give him a second chance to be a father? This is what the film is all about.

The film stars Vikram, Dhruv Vikram, Vani Bhojan, Bobby Simha, Simran and others. The film is produced by S S Lalith Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studios. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer.

The film will also release in Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam along with Tamil.
