The makers of Venkatesh starrer ‘Drushyam 2’ have always maintained that the film would release in OTT. But there was no clarity regarding the film’s release. Now it has been officially announced that ‘Drushyam 2’ would be releasing in Amazon Prime on the 25th of November.
Recently Suresh Productions, who is one of the producers of the film, has announced the official release date of the film. The production house in its twitter account has shared the teaser of the film. ‘Can the scars of the past ruin their future? In Rambabu’s world, reality is stranger than fiction’ says the tweet.
‘Drushyam 2’ is the remake of Mohan Lal starrer Malayalam thriller ‘Drishyam 2’ which was released earlier this year. ‘Drishyam 2’ is the sequel to the actor’s earlier hit ‘Drishyam’. Venkatesh also starred in the remake of the first film. After the sequel became a hit, the film was immediately remade in Telugu. This time Jeethu Joseph, who helmed the original was roped into direct the Telugu version also.
The film was launched in March this year and was concluded in April. But due to the second wave of Corona, the release was delayed and now the film will finally release on the 25th of November.
‘Drushaym 2’ stars Venkatesh, Meena, Kruthika, Esther Anil, Sampath Raj, Nadhiya and others in prominent roles. Anup Rubens has scored music for the film.
The film is jointly produced by Suresh Babu, Antony Perumbavoor and Rajkumar Sethupathi.
