Big B Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday (07 November 2021) completed 52 years in the film industry. Amitabh’s first film ‘Saat Hindustani’ was released on 52 years ago on this date.
Amitabh himself took to social media and said that his debut film has completed 52 years today. ‘On 15th February 1969, signed my first film ‘Saat Hindustani’ and it released on 07th November 1969. 52 Years … Today’ wrote the actor.
‘Saat Hindustani’ is written, produced and directed by K A Abbas and tells the heroic story of seven Indians who attempt to liberate Goa from the Portuguese colonional rule. Amitabh played the role of a Muslim poet called Anwar Ali in the film.
Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, Madhu, Utpal Dutt, Shehnaz, A K Hangal, Anwar Ali, Irshad Ali, Jalal Agha and others played prominent roles in the film. The film got two National Awards, one for the best lyrics for Kaifi Azmi, while the other for the best film on National Integration.
