S S Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ starring Junior NTR and Ramcharan Teja has got a new release date. The film which is said to be India’s biggest action drama will be releasing on the 07th of January 2022.
‘RRR’ was supposed to release on the 13th of October. As the theaters across India have not opened fully due to lockdown, the film has been postponed to the first week of 2022.
The team took to twitter on Saturday evening to announce that the India’s biggest action drama will be releasing on the 07th of January in theaters worldwide. The film will be simultaneously releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.
‘RRR’ is a film set in the pre-Independence era and is a fictitious story based on two freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The multilingual film which is said to be India’s costliest film made on a budget of Rs 350 crore.
The film stars Junior NTR and Ramcharan Teja along with Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, Samudrakani and others. S S Rajamouli has scripted the film based on the story of his father Vijayendra Prasad. V V Danayya has produced the film.
