‘Thala’ Ajith’s most anticipated film ‘Valimai’ is all set to hit the screens on the Sankranthi day next year. Producer Boney Kapoor himself has made an announcement through the social media and the first glimpse of the film is out.
Earlier, there were speculations that the film might release during the Deepavali season. However, Rajanikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’ has been announced on Deepavali and ‘Valimai’ has been pushed for the Pongal. Vijay’s ‘Beast’ was also expected to release on Pongal. With ‘Valimai’ making a grand release on that day, ‘Beast’ might be pushed further.
‘Valimai’ is the second collaboration of Ajjith and H Vinoth after ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ which is a remake of Bollywood hit ‘Pink’. Bollywood’s famous producer Boney Kapoor who was one of the producers of ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ is producing this film jointly with Zee Studios.
The shooting for the film started in December 2029, but the film got delayed due to the pandemic. Now the shooting is complete and the team is busy with the post-production work. With almost four months for release, the promotion activities of the film are expected to start by November. ‘Valimai’ stars Ajith along with Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya Gummakonda, Sumithra, Yogi Babu, Achyuth Kumar and others in prominent roles. Nirav Shah is in charge of cinematography, while Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer.
