Remember Gayathri Jayaraman? The round faced girl who wooed the audience with her innocent looks in T S Naragabharana’s ‘Neela’ 20 years back. ‘Neela’ was Gayathri’s debut film and the actress went on to act in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu films in the coming years. Her last film was Darshan’s ‘Swamy’ after which she took a long break from acting.
Now the actress is back with Yogi starrer ‘Lanke’ which is all set to hit the screens soon. Lanke was supposed to release on the 20th of August. However, due to various reasons, the film has been pushed further to September. The film is most likely to hit the screens during the Ganesha festival on the 10th of September.
Recently, Gayathri was seen at the audio release of the film. The actress said she is happy to be back and has got a very good role in the film. Gayathri also thanked director Ramprasad for giving a different role and said she would like to continue acting if she gets varied roles in films.
‘Lanke’ stars Yogi, Sanchari Vijay, Krishi Thapanda, Kavya Shetty, Esther Noronha, Gayathri Jayaraman in prominent roles. Karthik Sharma is the music composer.
