Sandalwood’s prestigious production company KVN Productions has already made their foray into Kollywood with ‘Jana Nayagan’ starring Vijay. Now the release date of the film has been officially announced and the film is all set to hit the screens on the 09th of January 2026 on the occasion of Sankranti
Vijay’s 68th film ‘Greatest of All Time’ (GOAT) was released last year. ‘Jana Nayagan’ is Vijay’s 69th film as an actor and is said to be his last film, after which he be actively participating in politics. Vijay has already floated a new political party called Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam and is said to be contesting the 2026 Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections.
The shooting or ‘Jana Nayagan’ is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by the mid of this year. The film is being written and directed by H Vinoth and is produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions.
‘Jana Nayagan’ stars Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Menon, Prakash Rai, Priyamani and others in prominent roles. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer.
Meanwhile, KVN Productions has two PAN Indian films under production. One is the Dhruva Sarja starrer ‘KD – The Devil’ followed by Yash starrer ‘Toxic’. While, ‘KD – The Devil’ is expected to hit the screens in August this year, ‘Toxic’ will be releasing on the 19th of March 2026 on the occasion of Ugadi.
