After ‘Love Birds’ a love story, writer-director P C Shekhar is a back with a new film and this time it is a thriller based on the six vices of human beings.
The film revolves around Veda who brings some hostages to a secluded house. The hostages are connected to a dead politician. He slowly starts eliminating one by one. Why is he on a killing spree and what is the motive behind all these murders forms the crux of the film.
The film opens with the funeral of a politician and all the characters and the entire story is connected with the politician. Each one of the characters represent lust, anger, greed, delusion, pride and envy. How does the hero Veda (Nakul Gowda) win over the ‘BAD’ is the story.
Though the film is of 100 minutes length, the film is quite slow in the first half. The director takes time in establishing the characters as well as the premise of the film. Some scenes look repeated, but they are justified in the climax. The film takes momentum only in the second half when the sub plots of the film are revealed in flashbacks. The second half is packed with a lot of betrayal and revenge and is intense and brings the audience to the edge of their seats.
Nakul Gowda as Veda is convincing in the role of Veda. His body language, gestures and dialogue delivery are very much similar to that of Sathish Ninasam. Manvitha is cute and brings freshness to the film. Apoorva Bharadwaj shines in a different role. ‘Kaddipudi’ Chandru, Saikrishna, Jagadish Malanad have done their bit. The montage song is melodious and the lighting by cinematographer Sakthi Sekar is one of the highlights of the film.
Fans of crime thrillers can try this film once.
