Just when there are no buyers for Kannada web series in any platforms, the makers of ‘Ekam’ have decided to stream the web series in its own platform called Ekam The Series from July 13th.
‘Ekam’ is being produced by Journeyman Films and presented by actor-director Rakshit Shetty. The series is created by Sumanth Bhatt and Sandeep P S and the series features Prakash Rai, Raj B Shetty., Shine Shetty amongst others.
The first season tells the stories of people from Karavali, the coastal belt of Karnataka. Stores rooted in the place and time, yet timeless and universal. Season one has seven stories in it.
Speaking about streaming in its own platform, ‘there is not a single avenue we’ve not explored for ‘Ekam’ in these last couple of years. But we hit familiar roadblocks every time. However, I think the audience deserve a chance and the right to decide the worth of any content. So, we decided to Bring ‘Ekam’ to you, on our own platform. You might love it. You might hate it. But I guarantee that you cannot dismiss it. It’s a one-of-a-kind attempt that need to be acknowledged and applauded’ says Rakshit Shetty who is presenting the series.
For watching ‘Ekam’ one has to pay a one-time fee of Rs 149 and access to all the episodes of ‘Ekam’. It will also include a four-episode documentary on making of the show. Original script bible and screenplays of all the episodes. Plus, participation in live calls with the cast and crew.
