‘Dhurandhar’ joins 1000 crore club; becomes 9th highest grossing film

Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar’ which was released on the 05th has reached another significant achievement as it enters fourth week. The film is now among the top 10 Indian movies to surpass Rs 1000 crore at the global box office. This milestone was reached after it garnered Rs 217.26 crore by Day 21 worldwide.

‘Dhurandhar’ directed b Aditya Dhar of ‘Uri’ fame stars Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and others in prominent roles.

The film despite an ensemble managed to collect only 28 crores on the first day of its release. The film was billed as a propaganda film and was bashed for violence.  The film was banned in 7 UAE – GCC (Gulf) countries. However, the film slowly gained momentum after the first week.

‘Dhurandhar’ is the ninth film to gain entry into this 1000 crore club.  The film has surpassed ‘Kantara – Chapter 1’ and ‘Chhaava’ and has emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2025. The film has also surpassed major productions like ‘Baahubali’, ‘Dangal’, ‘Jawan’, ‘KGF’, ‘Stree 2’ and many other films in various aspects within India. It recorded the largest third week earnings for a Hindi film at Rs 173 crore.

The second part of the film is all set to hit the screens on the 19th of March 2026 along with Yash starrer ‘Toxic’.
