Well known producer and director R Chandru a few days back had launched a new production company called RC Studios and had announced five films from the newly launched production company. Now the first film from RC Studios called ‘Father’ was launched on Saturday in Bangalore.
The official launch of the film was held at the famous Sri Bande Mahankali Temple in Bangalore and Shivarajkumar along with his wife Geetha Shivarajkumar came over as the chief guests and sounded the clap for the first shot of the film. Former Minister H M Revanna, MLA Pradeep Eshwar, producer K P Shreekanth, ‘Bahaddur’ Chethan Kumar and others were present during the occasion.
R Chandru thanked Shivarajkumar and Geetha Shivarajkumar for coming to the launch and standing with him from the beginning. ‘As announced a few months back, I have started the first of the five films. The film revolves around father and son and the film is a perfect family entertainer. Raj Mohan is making his debut in Kannada as a director. He had earlier assisted Vijay Milton during ‘Bhairagee’. He narrated a story to me, which I found very interesting. I immediately accepted to produce the film’ said R Chandru.
‘Almost a decade ago, I had introduced music composer Hari to Kannada and he had composed music for my directorial ‘Charminar’. Now he will be composing the music for the film. Anand Pandith will be presenting the film. Apart from ‘Darling’ Krishna, Prakash Raj and Amrutha Iyengar, Tollywood actor Sunil will also be playing a major role in the film’ said R Chandru.
‘Father’ is a pan Indian film which revolves around father-son relationship and stars Prakash Raj and ‘Darling’ Krishna as the father and son. Amrutha Iyengar has been roped in as the heroine. Gowra Hari of ‘Hanu-Man’ will be composing the music for the film, while Sugnan is the cinematographer.
