Well known writer and former don Agni Sreedhar who is known for his works ‘Dadagiriya Dinagalu’, ‘Edegarike’ and others has turned actor with a new film called ‘Kreem’ which has Samyuktha Hegde playing the protagonist.
Apart from acting in a prominent role, Agni Sreedhar has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. Recently, the trailer of the film was released in an event in Bangalore.
Agni Sreedhar had earlier directed a film called ‘Thamassu’ starring Shivarajkumar apart from penning story, screenplay and dialogues for a few films. Sreedhar says he is more interested in writing rather than acting.
‘Writing is my passion and I am more interested in writing. However, producer Devendra persuaded me to act in a prominent role. I wanted to keep the news under the wraps until the film’s release. But the team have revealed my character in the trailer itself. The film talks about the killing of women for money and power. This has been happening everywhere since many years. I have tried to show in this film’ says Agni Sreedhar.
Samyuktha Hegde is seen in a Kannada film after a gap of five years. ‘I haven’t done such a role in my character. It was tough and I have done a lot of action in this film’ said Samyuktha.
Producer Devendra said that another actor was supposed to play the character played by Agni Sreedhar. ‘The other actor dropped out of the film due to various reasons. We were in pressure and were in search of a suitable actor. However, I thought that Agni Sreedhar would do justice for the role and requested him to be a part of the film. After much persuasion Sreedhar accepted to be part of this film’ said Devendra.
‘Kreem’ is being directed by debutant Abhishek Basanth. Arun Sagar, Achyuth Kumar and others play prominent roles in the film.
‘Kreem’ is all set to hit the screens on the 01st of March.
